My other campaigns

For several years I campaigned for the antidepressant drug Seroxat to be banned after there were many thousands of reports of patients suffering from side effects and horrendous withdrawal symptoms. At the time there was little media attention on this drug but following the campaign by myself and others there was a Parliamentary inquiry into the drug and it’s side affects. This has ultimately resulted in the drug being given much more scrutiny and public awareness is now higher.

For the last year I have been campaigning for better provision for the elderly. My campaign is called Pensioners Rights

Related to this but separate, I am a campaigner against fuel poverty. Fuel Poverty is a very real threat which faces many elderly and disabled people. It also affects the young, those on benefits and the disadvantaged in our society. I hope to publish a website for this campaign soon to further explain this very serious issue.

Whilst most of these campaigns are national in scope, I have interests that are particular to Gloucester. I welcome the regeneration of the Docks and the new Quays outlet but I think that the city must be careful to continue to build on these successes and must not forget about other areas of the city or they to will slide into decay.
